Article: Curating Style, Together With Stylist Tiffany Erickson

Curating Style, Together With Stylist Tiffany Erickson

At Ad Hoc Home, we love working with other creatives who share our passion for elegance and style. Today, we’re excited to feature the incredibly stylish Tiffany Erickson—personal stylist in the Chicagoland area. Tiffany’s approach to personal styling and home design aligns perfectly with our mission to create beautiful spaces that are both timeless and personal.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m married with 3 kids and in addition to personal styling, I have a career in media advertising. I love to travel, I love pop culture and I love anything Royal-family (especially the style bits!). I typically start my days at 5 am, where I create content for my followers!

How did you get started in styling?

I launched my styling business in 2016 as a “side hustle” and it’s really taken off these last few years. After COVID, with the return of events, people really started caring about what they wear.  Social media has really altered the way people approach dressing, especially when it comes to events. My clients know that they’ll likely be “grammed”, so they want to look and feel their best!

How would you describe your personal style?

Classic with a twist! I love color, but also love a chic, black, head-to-toe look. I always ask myself - would Kate Middleton wear this? And a blowout is a must - a great outfit can be a bust if your hair looks unpolished!

Can you share with us 10 of your favorite Ad Hoc Home pieces on site right now?

1. Alexia Sconce

2. Terrace Floor lamp

3. Mini knot lamp

4. Andhara wallpaper in seagrass and lemon (I’m a sucker for birds!)

5. Sienna's writing desk in walnut and bone

6. Plume rectangular mirror

7. Tilbury small square rope mirror

8. South Sea blue and white temple jar

9. Freeman vases

10. Jada tray

What’s one easy tip you’d give someone trying to make their space feel more put together?

Add a rug that’s the right size for the room!

Are there any design trends right now that you’re really loving right now?

I’m a color person, so I love and hope to see a lot more color-drenching in 2025, especially in unexpected shades like moody purples or salmons.

If someone wanted to give their space a little refresh but only wanted to add one or two pieces, what items from Ad Hoc Home would you recommend to them?

Maybe it’s because I like to pretend that I reside in a coastal area, but I love adding natural elements like rattan, wicker, or raffia for a refresher. The ALEXIA SCONCE or the AMY LOUNGE CHAIR transport me right to the Caribbean!

Can you share a few other local businesses you love to shop and support?

I love a good vintage find, so Heritage Trail is my go-to for those gems (don’t rule out jewelry or vintage coupe glasses while you’re there!). The Lake Forest Shop is a place I frequent and I love finding home goods from Chalet, Maze, or Mandarine.
