Custom furniture orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of submitting the order. We regret that we are not able to cancel orders for in stock merchandise once they have been transmitted to our fulfillment center. In some cases, it is possible cancel backordered items on your order, since they are not scheduled for immediate shipment. At Ad Hoc Home, we stand behind our products 100%. We select products & vendors that we feel confident will provide a well-designed quality product. With that said, if you are not satisfied with what we send you we are happy to exchange for another item or issue store credit within 30 days of receipt. Please note that return shipping charges are non­refundable, unless the item received is incorrect or damaged. In that case, we ask that you please contact our Customer Service department prior to sending the item back, so that we can provide you with a return shipping label and expedite your replacement order. Returns are refunded in the original payment form, less shipping and handling. Returns sent via USPS that arrive with postage due will be returned to sender. Please note that "final sale" items are not returnable or exchangeable except for manufacturing defect. Ad Hoc Home does not accept returns on the following items: fabric swatches, fabric yardage, custom sewing orders, monogrammed items, Art, and all upholstered, vintage and custom furniture including but not limited to headboards, beds, benches, sofas, chairs and ottomans. After 30 days, Ad Hoc Home cannot accept returns for any reason other than manufacturing defects.

Ad Hoc Home is located at 705 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. We are open by appointment as we are out researching, out on appointments, and/or scouting new vendors. Not all products are made by local artists. We are excited to represent and carry well known vendors including Dash & Albert & Illume just to name a few. With this being said, we are also eager and proud to get the opportunity to showcase an incredibly talented group of local artists that we have built relationships with and are so lucky to carry their work at Ad Hoc Home. We believe in good design and local artisans which is reflected in our inventory. We currently have pieces from Aaron-Bladon, Modern Industry, Chapter, Three Siblings Design and Chicago Salvage Works to name a few. The furniture and accessories made by these crafts-people reflects a quality of design and originality often lost in today’s world of mass production.
